Learning About Thanksgiving

This week and next week we are learning all about Thanksgiving. We borrowed a bunch of books from the library on Thanksgiving, and I pulled a bunch of Thanksgiving activities off of the internet. The Thanksgiving activities came from Homeschool Creations, 1+1+1=1, Itsy Bitsy Learners, and A Heart 4 Home. We even made homemade applesauce, which was really yummy!

Matching pictures to their shadows.

Doing a puzzle that required putting numbers in order to create a picture of a turkey. Josh still has a hard time recognizing all his numbers from 1-10.

Getting read to paint corn using bubble wrap.

Callie is able to cut all by herself. Josh still needs a lot of assistance.

The finished product. Josh's is on the left and Callie's is on the right.

Creating a pattern with Indians and Pilgrims. She is really getting the hang of naming her patterns using the ABC system (ABAB, ABBA, etc.)

Circling the beginning letter of each picture.

Color by number

The finished applesauce at the end of the day, with a few finger swipes!
