Letter U Week

This has not been a very productive week. I've got a lot going on in the next two weekends, hosting a baby shower and teaching a coupon class, so that has been taking a lot of time. Jamey and I are also on a 7 day juice fast, so that is a little twist that has been thrown into our routine. Today is day 3, so tomorrow we will be more than halfway. I know it is good for our bodies, and we should go longer, but I will be soooo glad when I can eat real food again! We are doing this with about 20 other people, so it helps to keep everyone accountable.

So enough of that! Josh has been working on the letter U this week. I haven't worked on any curriculum with Callie, I've just pulled out activities that I already have at home. Enjoy the pics!

Matching letter tiles to spell umbrella.

Tracing the letter "U". I have seen a huge improvement with his tracing skills since starting this curriculum. We will work on the correct way to hold the pen later, as his fingers strengthen.

I love his concentration when cutting! He doesn't follow the lines yet, but he's getting there.

Creating patterns.

Josh loves puzzles, and this is an easy one.

Stamping the letter "U".

Poking holes with the push pin. He's supposed to stay on the letter, but he went a little crazy this time.

Matching colors.

Counting the raindrops. We are still working on number recognition and touch counting.

Callie working on addition.

Making pictures with pattern blocks.
