St. Patrick's Activities

Here are some activities that we have been doing this week. My printables came from here, here, and here.

Tracing the dotted lines.

Circling the picture that is different.

Matching letters. This was hard for him. I should have just pulled out the vowels. I ended up matching and then asking him what the letter was.
Sorting pictures.

Sorting pictures.

Counting the syllables and clipping the correct number. This was her first introduction to syllables. It took a few to catch on, and she couldn't clap and count at the same time, so I clapped and she counted.

This is a matching puzzle with a mat that can go underneath to match the letters. Since Callie knows her letters and is already reading some, I asked her to spell clover. She sounded it out and spelled it.

Graphing erasers. We talked about which one had the most and the least.
Josh decided he wanted to do the pipe cleaners for the first time today. I was amazed that he was putting the colors in the correct order. I'm glad I took a picture when I did though, because he was done after the yellow and put everything away.

We had an impromptu tea party when I watched a friends' girls for a little while today. If you look closely, you can see the new artwork that Joshua added to my table last night with a permanent marker, right by Callie's arm. Thanks Josh!
