We celebrated St. Patrick's Day today since tomorrow is our Sabbath. We started off with a breakfast of rainbow pancakes and green soy milk.
Then after our normal Friday morning cleaning, we headed out to our classroom for some calendar time, sensory bin, and playdough fun.
We came back in and Callie went to room time while I worked with Josh during school time. The printables came from here, here and here.
Graphing erasers.
"Ta-da"
Placing the gold coins onto the pot of gold according to the number.
Counting the pictures and clipping the pin onto the correct number. I love his concentration here!
After Josh's school time, we had lunch, which of course was St. Patty's themed! Check out the post right below this one for the pic.
The treat I made them for after lunch. For how wonderful these smell, they don't really taste that great. The kiddos ate the chocolate coin and left the rest.
Rolling the die and graphing what she got.
Painting a rainbow with our fingers.
Callie wanted to add gold coins to her pot.
Callie ended up adding a sun and clouds also!
Here is a little concert that Josh would like to give you:
To top everything off, we had a green feast tonight! We had pesto pasta, steamed zucchini, roasted asparagus and broccoli, kale and avocado salad, and a green fruit salad with grapes, kiwi, and honeydew. It was all delicious. Callie made the kale salad herself and she ate a ton of it before we sat down. She and Josh were chowing down on the salad and saying it was delicious, but when we sat down to eat, neither one of them ate it off their plates. Oh-well. At least they ate some. Both my kids are pretty good eaters, so I can't complain!
